Often called the city of churches, Adelaide is known for its scenic national parks brimming with wildlife and is a gateway to the Murray River. The stunning Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley boasts a vibrant wine district filled with great vineyards and restaurants.

Highlights Include: 

• This morning we fly from Auckland to Adelaide.

• City tour of Adelaide on arrival, including a drive around this vibrant city, the North Terrace, Adelaide Botanic Gardens and Botanic Park, the modern Adelaide Oval precinct for a glimpse of the Donald Bradman statue and the historical St Peter’s Cathedral.

DAY TOUR TO BAROSSA VALLEY 

Highlights Include: 

• Today we are off to the beautiful Barossa Valley, home to the winemaking region of South Australia. 

• Visit Maggie Beer’s famous Farm Shop & Cafe for a cooking class and shopping.

• Enjoy lunch at a vineyard plus some wine tasting.

SATURDAY 25 OCTOBER 2025 (B, L, D) FLEURIEU PENINSULA - MCLAREN VALE - KANGAROO ISLAND

Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge, Kangaroo Island (2 nights)

Highlights Include: 

• Travel south down the Fleurieu Peninsula into the McLaren Vale wine region.

• Enjoy a chocolate tasting at Bracegirdle’s House of Fine Chocolates and lunch at a premium vineyard. 

• In the afternoon, travel to Cape Jervis and board the ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Australia’s second largest island, Kangaroo Island.

• Visit Birds of Prey at the Raptor Domain. Meet an array of birds including Jedda, the wedge-tailed eagle.

• Travel through Goolwa to Strathalbyn where you can explore the many antique shops.

• Enjoy the beautiful scenery as we travel through regional South Australia en route to Naracoorte. The Naracoorte Caves are South Australia’s only World Heritage site, officially recognised in 1994 for the important fossils found at the site.

• This afternoon we have the special privilege of performing in the caves. We immerse ourselves in the perfect acoustics of this natural wonder during our private concert.

Highlights Include: 

• Explore the Umpherston Sink Hole gardens, featuring beautiful overhanging vines.

• Visit the famous Blue Lake, situated in one of three extinct volcanic craters.

• Cross the state border into Victoria and into the beautiful fishing village of Port Fairy.

• This evening we enjoy a fabulous sound and laser show in the historic Flagstaff Hill Precinct depicting the story of the ill-fated sailing ship “Loch Ard”.

• We begin our journey along one of Australia’s most spectacular scenic drives, the Great Ocean Road.

• There are plenty of stops along the way to photograph the natural wonders including the Bay of Islands, the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge.

• From the coast we head inland over the Otway Ranges. We enjoy a birds-eye view of the beautiful temperate rainforest from the Otway Fly.

Mobility - Moderate Tour

This trip has a little more walking than an easy tour. It is a moderate tour for one of the following reasons - you may need to walk with ease for up to one hour at a slow pace or be able to climb stairs or be able to get on and off boats, trains and buses. This trip will not suit those on walkers and a moderate level of mobility is required.
